Some people love the gym, some people love movies. Me?...I love to design. Grab a coffee or a tea (if that’s what you’re into – I’d rather have a nice ice cold coke!) and get comfortable as I attempt to sum up my life so far into a few paragraphs.

Born and raised in Coventry, (UK) I was the usual middle child syndrome kind of girl. I was never a number cruncher and was always interested in making things “look pretty”. Presentation was everything to me. Regardless of whether the essay was on topic or not, the fact it looked the part mattered more!...

Saying that you would have thought I would have chosen to continue expressing my creative side and studying something like Graphics or Art, or fine Arts. But I didn’t. Instead I thought to let the creative side be a “hobby”. Little did I know what was around the corner!

Leaving university with a BA (Hons) in Business Information Systems, I realised I couldn’t resist the fact I managed to gain a first class in all the creative aspects of the degree. My first website (a piece of coursework), a group assignment, an industrial placement (all web design/development related) and I kicked a$$!

A late realisation that web design is the field for me, I decided to spend the summer not only decorating my living room, but also teaching myself the much loved skills required for a website – Photoshop, XHTML, CSS, a bit of JavaScript, and Flash.

Since then I haven’t looked back. If anything I try to find time like that where I can learn new stuff and actually make a name in the web design world!

In June 2002 I designed my first portfolio and since then it has had numerous redesigns. This version being the latest and most recent.

In between all that I have designed and launched a few websites for clients as well.

After thinking about it for months, I finally managed to build and launch my own blog. Designing and building whenever I got that spare half hour really paid off once I flicked the switch to "live".

Simultaneously, I have been getting more and more involved in Wordpress and writing guest articles for well known web design blogs...more about this on my blog!!

It's not a huge list, but its a start!
